Euro Wealth Financial Services Ltd (CRO: C124230), trading as Euro Wealth Financial, is a financial services brokerage authorised and regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland as:
An Insurance Intermediary under the European Union (Insurance Distribution) Regulations 2018 (IDR 2018)
An Investment Intermediary under the Investment Intermediaries Act 1995, as supplemented by the European Union (Markets in Financial Instruments) Regulations 2017 (MiFID II Regulations)
We provide advice and arrange transactions in the areas of life assurance, pensions, investments, savings and protection products.

Note: As a small single-advisor firm, our Managing Director also acts as the primary data protection contact. The CPC 2025 requires us to handle your personal data fairly, transparently and in a manner that supports the delivery of positive consumer outcomes. This means we must: act in your best interests at all times; communicate with you in plain language you can reasonably be expected to understand; and ensure that how we collect, use and share your data supports rather than undermines your financial wellbeing.

We collect and process only the personal data we need to provide you with financial services, meet our legal obligations, and comply with our regulatory requirements.

Date and place of birth, gender and marital status
Family details relevant to your financial planning needs
Employer, job title and professional information
4.2 Financial Information
Details of existing financial products including life policies, pensions, investments, savings and insurance
Income, expenditure, assets and liabilities
Insurance claims history
Attitude to investment risk and capacity for loss
Sustainability preferences (ESG — Environmental, Social and Governance)
4.3 Identification Details
Government-issued identification numbers (e.g. PPS number where required by law)
Passport, driver’s licence or other identity documents
Utility bills or other proof of address documents
4.4 Special Categories of Personal Data (Health Data)
In certain circumstances — for example, in connection with life assurance, income protection or serious illness cover — we may be required to process health data. Health data is a special category of personal data under GDPR, which means it receives additional protection.
We will only process health data where:
You have given your explicit consent before any processing takes place; and
Processing is strictly necessary for the purpose of arranging or administering your policy or financial product.
You may withdraw your consent to the processing of health data at any time by contacting us. Please note that withdrawal of consent may affect our ability to arrange or administer certain products on your behalf.

5. How We Collect Your Data
Directly from you during meetings, telephone calls or correspondence

Through anti-money laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) verification processes

6. Lawful Basis for Processing
We are required by GDPR to have a lawful basis for processing your personal data. We rely on one or more of the following bases:
Contractual Necessity: Processing is necessary to provide the financial services you have requested, or to take steps at your request before entering into a contract with you.
Legal Obligation: Processing is necessary to comply with our regulatory obligations under the Central Bank of Ireland, CPC 2025, EU (Insurance Distribution) Regulations 2018, EU (Markets in Financial Instruments) Regulations 2017, and anti-money laundering legislation.
Legitimate Interests: Processing is necessary for our legitimate business interests, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
Consent: Where you have given your explicit consent, for example for marketing communications or for the processing of health data.
Vital Interests: In rare circumstances, where processing is necessary to protect your vital interests or those of another person.
7. Purposes of Processing
To provide financial advice and arrange financial products on your behalf
To assess your suitability and affordability for financial products, as required by the CPC 2025
To carry out identity verification and anti-money laundering checks
To review and service your existing financial arrangements
To comply with our legal and regulatory obligations
To communicate with you regarding your products and services
To send you relevant marketing communications where you have opted in
To manage complaints and resolve disputes
To improve our services and website performance
To comply with tax reporting and other statutory obligations
8. Data Retention
We will not retain your personal data for longer than is necessary. Our retention periods are:
Client financial records: 6 years after the last product expires, is cancelled or the business relationship ends — as required by the Central Bank of Ireland
AML / KYC records: 5 years from the end of the business relationship
Complaint records: 6 years from the date of resolution
Prospective client data: 12 months from initial contact if no business relationship is established
Website usage data: 12 months on a rolling basis
Marketing consent records: For the duration of any business relationship, and for 6 years after its end
Following the expiry of the applicable retention period, your personal data will be securely deleted or anonymised.
9. Sharing Your Personal Data
We may share your personal data with the following categories of third parties where necessary:
Product providers (life assurance companies, pension providers, investment companies)
The Central Bank of Ireland and other regulatory authorities where required by law
Our compliance consultant, for the purpose of regulatory compliance and oversight
IT service providers and software platforms used in our business operations
Legal and professional advisors where necessary
The Revenue Commissioners and other statutory bodies where required by law
We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
10. International Data Transfers
We endeavour to process and store all personal data within the European Economic Area (EEA). Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we will ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place, including adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
11. Use of Technology and AI
We may use technology tools, including AI-assisted productivity and document preparation systems, to support our internal business operations.
The following safeguards apply:
All financial advice and product recommendations are provided exclusively by an authorised and qualified financial broker. No advice or recommendations are generated by automated or AI systems.
Full human oversight by a qualified advisor applies at all times.
AI tools are not used to make decisions about your financial products or services that have significant legal or financial effects on you.
Any personal data processed through technology tools is handled in accordance with this Privacy Statement and our GDPR obligations.
12. Vulnerable Customers
In accordance with the CPC 2025, we are committed to ensuring that all customers — including those who may be experiencing vulnerability — receive fair treatment and appropriate support.
Where we become aware that a customer may be vulnerable, we will:
Take additional care in how we communicate with you
Ensure that any consent obtained is fully informed and freely given
Accommodate reasonable requests for adjustments to how we engage with you
Allow additional time for you to consider information and decisions
Involve a trusted person or advocate if you request this
Signpost you to appropriate support resources where relevant
If at any time you feel that our approach is not meeting your needs, please contact us.
13. Data Security
We have implemented appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data, including:
Encryption of sensitive data in transit and at rest
Access controls limiting data access to authorised personnel only
Regular review of our data security practices
Data processor agreements with all third-party processors
Staff awareness of data protection obligations
In the event of a personal data breach likely to result in a risk to your rights and freedoms, we will notify the Data Protection Commission within 72 hours. Where the breach is likely to result in a high risk to you, we will also notify you directly.

We use limited automated processing in connection with risk profiling, affordability assessments and marketing suitability queries. No decisions with significant legal or financial effects are made solely by automated means. All automated assessments are reviewed by a qualified financial advisor. You have the right to request human review of any automated assessment.
